Mr. Harold Dennis Hawks, age 75 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 at his home. He was born in Carroll County on November 15, 1943 to the late Arnold Hawks and Syble Stanley Hawks. He served three tours of duty with the US Army in Vietnam and later worked in Iran. In his community he was known as a “jack of all trades.”
Surviving are his sister, Sharon Melton Gardner of Meadows of Dan; a nephew, Ted Gardner; cousins, Warren Hawks, Phyllis Holt, William Hawks, Ivan Hawks, and their families; and numerous friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. All other services will be private. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
