Hazel Hall Barker, 89, of Martinsville, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Pioneer Hospital in Stuart.
She was born March 27, 2016, in Franklin County to the late Fred and Hettie Vick Amos Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert F. “Beanie” Barker Jr.; a son, Thomas F. Barker; a son-in-law, George Hubbard Jr.; four brothers, Alvin, Walt, Sam, and Frank Hall; and one sister, Melba Lynch.
She was a graduate of Franklin County High School Class of 1945, and had attended Rich Acres Christian Church. She was retired from DuPont with over 30 years of service, and was an avid bowler for many years.
She is survived by one son, Ronald Barker of Stuart; two daughters, Donna Hubbard and Vickie Cannaday, both of Martinsville; one brother, Thomas Hall of Martinsville; three sisters, Lula Craddock of Stuart, Joyce Shively of Roanoke, and June Stanley of Lexington; nine grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Friday in the Roselawn Chapel. Burial was in Roselawn Burial Park.
