Public input is being sought at two public hearings that are scheduled to be held during the Patrick County Board of Supervisors Monday, Oct. 16 meeting.

The first hearing, at 6:15 p.m., is on a proposed increase of the income limit for the Elderly and Handicapped Tax Relief Ordinance.

At 6:30 p.m. a second hearing is scheduled to be held on an amendment to increase the northeast easement boundary in the Easement Agreement between the county and Mid Atlantic Broadband Cooperative.

Both hearings, and the meeting, will be held in the 3rd floor courtroom on the Patrick County Veterans Memorial building, 106 Rucker Street, Stuart.

Supervisors also are scheduled to hear new business from Lisa Price Hughes, resident engineer, of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT); Warren Rodgers, a representative of the Electoral Board and Susan Taylor, Registrar, on relocating a voting precinct from 3rd floor of the Administration Building to Hooker Building; Beth Deatherage, regarding development of the  county website; Sandra Puckett, director of tourism, on resolutions for Meadows of Dan and Mayo River Rail Trail; and a health insurance credit for retirees.

Supervisors also are slated to discuss a lease agreement with the Rotary Club and ratify a vote for the contingency fund.

The board will meet in closed session to discuss personnel, legal, contract and real estate matters.
