obit Dehart., 85, of Meadows of Dan, died Monday, January 25, 2016, at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville.
He was born in Meadows of Dan on September 22, 1930, and was a son of the late Harman J. DeHart Sr. and Cassie Nolen DeHart. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Adams DeHart, in 2005, and his brother, Harman J. DeHart Jr.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was retired from Holman & Moody where he served as vice president for 45 years.
Surviving are his sisters, Hazel D. Coggin of Stoneville, N.C.; Carolyn D. Lawson of Margaret City, N.J. and Hilda D. Roden of Lake George, N.Y.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Collins Funeral Chapel with full military rites to be performed by Veterans Honor Guard of Martinsville and Henry County.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be held in Roselawn Burial Park at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Meadows of Dan Baptist Church, 2511 Jeb Stuart Highway, Meadows of Dan, VA 24120.
