This year’s recipient of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Good Citizen Award at Hardin Reynolds Memorial School is Sydney Tatum.
The award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities.
Originally from Topsail, North Carolina, Sydney and her family moved to Patrick County the summer before her 6th grade year. She enjoys horseback riding, volleyball, attending church, visiting the beach, and spending time with her family. She is looking forward to attending STEM Camp this summer and has expressed a desire to become a teacher in the future. Sydney is an extraordinary student who works diligently and puts forth her best effort in all she does, reflecting dependability and leading by example. We are proud to name her this year’s DAR good citizen.
