The 21st annual Rutter’s Martial Arts banquet was held in December. Hunter Hubbard received 2018 Shotokan karate most improved award. He also received an award for five years of dedication to premier championship sports and Rutter’s Martial Arts in the art of Japanese Shotoken Karate.
Hubbard was promoted to the rank of sixth Kyu blue belt. Rutter’s Martial Arts has locations in Stuart, Bassett, and Floyd.
