Surry Community College will be offering a HVAC/Refrigeration Technician class on Monday and Wednesdays, July 6 through Oct. 26 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Surry Community College, 630 S. Main St., Dobson, N.C.

This course introduces basic heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration processes used in mechanical refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This course will prepare individuals for the Universal Certification exam. Students will have the opportunity to take the exam at the end of the course. The exam will be administered at the main campus of SCC. The exam cost is $25 (subject to change). The course is a total of 128 hours. Pre-registration and payment of $183 are required.
