Grand jurors in Patrick County handed down 37 indictments during the March term.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but rather a grand jury’s determination that enough evidence exists for a trial.

Among the 16 people named are:

Rebecca Jane Barnett, of Stuart, one count of manufacture methamphetamine, March 9, 2017.

Christopher Don Christian, of Critz, possess Schedule I or II drugs and possess Schedule IV drugs, both September 1, 2017.

Michael Ray Cline, of Stuart, manufacture methamphetamine, March 9, 2017.

Dillard Clayton France Jr., of Stuart, one count each burglary and grand larceny, April 15 – 24, 2017.

Ricky Lane Howell, of Stuart, manufacture methamphetamine, March 9, 2017.

Hope Ann Hubbard, of Woolwine, one count each possess Schedule I or II drugs and possess controlled paraphernalia, both October 5, 2017.

Shanille Nicole Leigh, of Stuart, two counts welfare fraud, on or between June 1 and November 30, 2016.

Terry Wayne Leigh, of Stuart, two counts each welfare perjury and welfare fraud, on or between October 2016 and May 31, 2017.

Scott Edward Neyman, of Meadows of Dan, one count each malicious wounding and strangulation, February 2 – 3.

Michael Louis Patrick, of Bassett, grand larceny, November 20, 2017.

Nicky Leon Rose, of Patrick Springs, obtain money by fraudulent intent, August 30- 31, 2017.

Emory Lee Smith, of Bassett, nine counts of welfare fraud, incidents July 8, 2015 through December 31, 2017.

Melissa Sue Sessor-Warden, of Stuart, identity fraud, November 14, 2017.

James Michael Young, of Bassett, obtain money by false pretense, on or about September 1, 2017.

Justin Wyatt Woodall, of Claudville, one count each possess/transport firearm by convicted felon, petty larceny, possess Schedule I or II drugs, possess Schedule IV drugs, possess ammunition by convicted felon, July 4, 2017.

Jerry Christopher Howard, of Stuart, one count each possess firearm by convicted felon and grand larceny, January 6, 2018.
