Indictments handed down Monday

Grand jurors seated in Patrick County on Monday handed down 46 indictments that named 26 people.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but a grand jury’s determination that evidence exists for trial.

Those named in Monday’s round of indictments are:
Paul Wayne Moore, of Stuart, assault of a law enforcement officer, in connection with a July 22, 2018 incident.
Joey Clifford Goins, of Ararat, damage/destroy property, in connection with a June 4, 2018 incident.
Abby Marie Collins, of Mount Airy, N.C., receive stolen goods, in connection with a June 28, 2018 incident.
Deanuna Jane Kitts, of Wytheville, two counts each statutory burglary and grand larceny; one count each larceny of a firearm, damage/destroy property and destroy property, in connection with incidents in December, 2017.
David Michael Shupe, of Rural Retreat, two counts each grand larceny and statutory burglary, one count each larceny of a firearm and damage/destroy property, in connection with December, 2017 incidents.
Joseph Ray Walton, of Ararat, receive stolen goods, in connection with a June 28, 2018 incidents.
Chester Lewis Roberts, of Stuart, malicious wounding, in connection with an August 22, 2018 incident.
Reginald Ray Mitchell Jr., of Martinsville, violate Habitual Offender Act, in connection with a June 17, 2018 incident.
Summer Nicole Collins, of Stuart, one count each obtain money by false pretense – third or subsequent offence – and utter, in connection with a June 6, 2018 incident.
Jason Kyle Cregger, of Ararat, damage/destroy property, in connection with an August 2, 2018 incident.
Nicolas James Kenyon, of Mount Airy, N.C., grand larceny, in connection with an April 1, 2018 incident.
Joseph Marvin Owens, of Stuart, damage/destroy property, in connection with a May 1, 2018 incident.
Candi Hemmings Todd, of Martinsville, shoplifting, third offense, in connection with an August 12, 2018 incident.
Brandy Lee Wiseman, of Bassett, shoplifting, third offense, in connection with an August 20, 2018 incident.
Richard Junior Vernon II, of Stuart, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, in connection with an April 3, 2018 incident.
Isaiah Holt Baker, of Martinsville, aggravated sex battery – underage victim – in connection with a December, 2017 incident.
Justin Lipscomb, of Stuart, break and enter, in connection with a June 1, 2018 incident.
Ronald Lee McGuire, of Bassett, one count each possess firearm by nonviolent felon, statutory burglary and possess burglarious tools, in connection with a September 25, 2018 incident.
Terry Lee Booker, address not listed, one count each break and enter, petty larceny and attempted statutory burglary, in connection with September/October 2017 incidents.
Jearl Dwayne Dillon, of Patrick Springs, possess Schedule I or II drugs, in connection with a Dec. 24, 2017 incident.
Harvey Evan Lee Edwards, of Ararat, one count each statutory burglary and grand larceny in connection with November, 2017 incidents; perjury, in connection with a July 10, 2018 incident.
Donna Lynn Goins, of Stuart, possess Schedule I or II drugs (methamphetamine), in connection with a July, 2017 incident.
Mary Victoria Lewis, of Martinsville, child abuse/neglect, in connection with an August 27, 2018 incident.
Sean Michael Martin, of Stuart, one count each possess Schedule I or II controlled substance and possess Schedule I or II controlled substance while possess firearm, in connection with a May 2, 2018 incident.
Rodger Hyden Mitchell, of Bassett, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, in connection with an August 4 incident.
