Indictments issued in June

Grand jurors in Patrick County handed down more than 30 indictments on June 2, according to records in the Patrick County Court Clerk’s Office.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but a grand jury’s determination that enough evidence exists to warrant a trial.

Those named in the indictments are:

*Jonathan David Bocock, 38, of Stuart, hit and run, Nov. 9.

*Justin Wyatt Woodall, 43, of Claudville, possession of Schedule I or II drugs, Aug. 21.

*Nathaniel Lawrence Barker, 29, of Meadows of Dan, strangulation, Sept. 23.

*James Devontae Flood, 24, of Martinsville, one count each uttering and forgery, Oct. 3, 2023.

*Ivy Rayne Hollinger, 32, of Stuart, one count each possess ammunition by felon and possession of Schedule I or II drugs, Feb. 4.

*China Marie Welch, 31, of Riner, one count each possession of a firearm by non-violent felon, and larceny of a firearm, on or between Feb. 25-26, 2024.

*Terry Lee Cardwell, Jr., 55, of Madison, NC, one count each burglary and possession of burglary tools, March 26.

*Daniel Wayne Reynolds, 71, of Patrick Springs, one count each possession of a firearm by violent felon and concealed carry by felon, Aug. 29, 2024.

*Franklin D. Rose, Jr., 39, of Stuart, one count each malicious wounding, violate protective order with injury, and violate protective order by stalking, on or between Dec. 5, 2024, and Jan. 14, 2025.

*Joshua Christopher Herring, 40, of Lawsonville, N.C., two counts possession of Schedule I or II drugs, on or between Jan. 17 and Feb. 4.

*Lawrence Wesley Forehand, 64, of Capron, malicious wounding, Oct. 5.

*Kelly A. Forehand, 63 of Capron, malicious wounding, Oct. 5.

*Maranda Lee Castano, 43, of Stuart, possession of Schedule I or II drugs, Feb. 14.

*Andrew Roy Hill, 39, of Stuart, malicious wounding, Dec. 19.

*Eric William Walker, 28, of Stuart, attempted 1st degree murder, Nov. 6.

*Rodney Aaron Turner, 32, of Stuart, assault and batter on law enforcement officer, Nov. 9.

*Jasmine Marie Chapman, 21, of Stuart, possession of Schedule I or II drugs, Nov. 6.

*Danny Ray Harris, AKA Donny Ray Harris, 43, of Martinsville, possession of Schedule I or II drugs, Nov. 20.

*Griffith Coy Goodyear, 35, of Stuart, one count each burglary, intentional damage, and violate protective order, Jan. 23.

*Dionte Morris Nowlin, 23, of Stuart, threat to kill in writing, Nov. 12.

*Steven Ray Joyce, 51 of Stuart, possession of Schedule I or II drugs, Sept. 3.

*Katelyn Briona Dunn, 19, of Stuart, possession of Schedule I or II drugs, Sept. 16.

*Billie Jo Nelson, 31, of Stuart, assault and batter on law enforcement officer, Oct. 28.

*Richard Lee Byrd, 44, of Patrick Springs, break and enter, Dec. 20.

*Brianna Michelle Morgan, 28, of Critz, possession of Schedule I or II drugs, Jan. 17.

*Matthew Ryan Scott, 39, of Patrick Springs, unauthorized use of a vehicle, Dec. 8.
