The J.E.B. Stuart Birthplace Preservation Trust will hold its annual celebration honoring the Confederate general’s birthday on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will take place at the Ararat Ruritan Building, located at 4711 Ararat Highway, and admission is free.
The celebration will feature live music, complimentary cake, food, and refreshments. A guest speaker is set to provide insights into history, and attendees will have the chance to win a door prize. Additionally, items will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the trust’s building fund.
Displays of Civil War artifacts, including artillery, will be showcased alongside a Dinky Railroad exhibit, offering attendees a glimpse into the region’s rich history.
