James “Jim” Luther Floyd, 84, of Collinsville, died on Monday, June 27, 2016.
He was born on June 6, 1932 in Patrick County and was a son of the late Sue Clark Floyd and Will Abe Floyd. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Helena Floyd; second wife, Charlotte Floyd; and several brothers and sisters.
He worked at the Virginia State Highway Department as a supervisor and was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville.
Surviving are his son, Mark Floyd of Westlake, Oh.; one sister, Linda Dunkley (Bobby) of Stuart;; a sister-in-law, Gaynelle Floyd of Stuart; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Roselawn Burial Park with the Rev. Larry Cheek officiating. The visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel.
