Julie Ann Churchwell, 53, of Bedford, Tex., passed away peacefully on June 26, 2016.
A celebration of her life will be held at Gateway Church, North Richlands Hills campus, on Thursday, June 30 at 2: p.m. Her family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service.
Julie was born in Bartow, Fla. on May 13, 1963. She graduated from high school in Rocky Mount, N.C., and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in education from Ouachita Baptist University and a master of religious education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
She was a valued member of the staff at Daystar Christian Television for the past 12 years. She loved the Lord Jesus and lived her life to honor and serve Him. She spent much time studying the Bible so that she could effectively encourage those who called her for prayer.
She delighted in people and cultivated a multitude of friendships. She treasured her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her father and mother, Jim and Ethel Churchwell of Stuart; her sister, Jennifer Churchwell Davis and her husband, Rick Davis, her nieces and nephews, Catherine, David, Wesley, William, Sabrina and Rebecca Davis of Grapevine, Tex., as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins all over the country with whom she kept in touch.
If desired, the family suggests memorials be made to Community Hospice of Texas which can be made at www.chot.org. This obituary courtesy of Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
