Jimmie Dale Sutphin, age 73, of Willis, Virginia, went to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly on August 19, 2020. Jimmie was an extremely devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He is survived by his wife of the home Carol Sutphin, one daughter Rhonda Reef of Willis, one granddaughter Jennifer Sutphin of Willis, as well as two fur babies of the home, Pepper and Baby. Surviving as well are siblings Everette Sutphin of Laurel Fork, Virginia, Shirley Turner of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Glendal Sutphin of Collinsville, Virginia. Also left behind are many extended family members and friends. Jimmie was born November 19, 1946 in Floyd County to the late Kyle Sutphin and the late Ocie Underwood Sutphin.

He had a short tour in the United States Army and worked a few different places before settling in with JP Stevens/United Elastic in Stuart for over 35 years. He received a degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning from Patrick Henry Community College late in life. He retired from the Recycling Center in Floyd, Virginia in 2013. Jimmie enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his yard and gardening, as well as tinkering with small engines. He will be sorely missed.

The family will lay him to rest in a private, graveside ceremony on Monday, August 24, 2020. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
