Jimmy Dale Hicks, 63, left this earthly life, May 30, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Hicks Family Cemetery.

Jimmy Dale was born May 22, 1959, in Forsyth County, to James “Jim” Hicks and the late Lucille Mabe Hicks. He was a member of the Danbury Fire Department for 47 years where he held numerous positions and currently served as captain.

Jimmy loved his family and was an avid deer hunter. You could find him working on the family farm, mowing with his son or spending time with his wife and grandkids.

In addition to his father, Jim, survivors include his wife, Kimberly Stevens Hicks; son, Jamie Hicks (Casey); daughters, Kimber Lawson (Randall) and Jessica Shelton (Daniel); sisters, Christine Hicks and Tonya Bullins (Vance); and grandchildren, Jaxon Hicks, Kaylee Lawson, Jaycee Hicks, Kason Lawson, and Danica Shelton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel and other times at the residence…

Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
