Joey Wayne Beasley, age 56, of Stuart, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Thomasville, N.C., on January 5, 1960 and was a son of the late Jerry Beasley and Mary Jane Rakes Beasley Lumpkin.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Jane Rakes Beasley Lumpkin and her fiancé, Bob Most of Stuart; two children, David Beasley and Matthew Beasley, both of North Carolina; one brother, Tommy Beasley of Stuart; two sisters, Carolyn Hedrick of North Carolina and Jerri Lynn Fielder of Stuart; several nieces and nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles.
A funeral service was held on Monday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with the Rev. Gary Combs officiating. Burial was in the Elamsville Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
