Joseph “Marion” Hall, 93, died Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Lifebrite Community Hospital of Stokes, Danbury, N.C.

Born in Stokes County on January 25, 1931, to the late Carter and Dillia Rogers Hall Dalton Tudor, Marion was a graduate of Francisco High School with 12 years of perfect attendance.   He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended Peters Creek Baptist Church.  Marion retired from the N.C. Highway Department as an engineer. Marion was a 32nd degree mason, member of Walnut Cove Lodge 629 AF and AM. He was a skilled musician who played with the Brammer Brothers and the Virginia Partners Bluegrass band.

Marion is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Lois Marshall Hutchens Hall and a daughter,

Dr. Teresa Ann Hutchens.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Peter’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 6561 NC 8 Hwy N, Lawsonville, NC 27022.

Colonial Funeral Home in Sandy Ridge is serving the family. Condolences may be offered at www.colonialfh.net.
