The JV Baseball team hosted Gretna on March 14, topping the Hawks 11-0.

Hunter Pendleton went three innings on the mound, striking out seven, walking none, and allowing no hits.

Lucas Taylor threw for two innings, striking out eight, walking none, and allowing two hits.

Matthew Allen had two hits and scored two.

Easton Harris, Broc Taylor, and Lucas Taylor each had a hit.

The Cougars traveled to Gretna on March 18.

Lucas Taylor went all six innings on the mound in the 7-0 win. Taylor struck out 12, walked none, and allowed two hits.

Harris led at the plate with three hits, while Noah Jessup, Allen, Chance Corns, Hunter Smith, and Seth Geiger added a hit each.

It was a “good game for our kids. We got some timely hitting, with Easton Harris leading the way with three hits and a couple of stolen bases,” Coach Donnie Rakes said. “We still need to learn to be more selective in terms of swinging at strikes. I thought Lucas Taylor was really strong on the mound, going all six innings while striking out 12 of 15 batters.”
