The Patrick County High School junior varsity soccer team reported the scores of the final three games of the season recently.

April 28, Patrick County lost to Bassett 7-1. Leslie Quiroz, who moved up to JV at the end of her middle school season, scored the lone goal for the night from a one-touch shot outside of the ’18. Odette Chavez had seven saves in goal.

The JV Lady Cougars played Halifax May 4, and lost 2-0 when the game was called due to poor playing conditions. Odette Chavez had seven saves in goal.

The team finished its season at Martinsville May 17, with a tough 1-0 loss. PCHS out-shot Martinsville (this game recorded the most shots on goal this season), but the Lady Cougars weren’t able to find the back of the net.

The goal against PCHS came from a crowd of chaos in front of the goal. Odette Chavez had seven saves in goal.

“The ladies finished their season with a strong game, and I am proud of how they have played and how much they have improved!” said Coach Chelsea Snow.
