JV Volleyball ends season with winning record

The JV Lady Cougars were defeated by the Lady Trojans in two sets on April 5.

Bryley Pike led the defense with 10 digs. Kaylee Towler had 6 digs, Madi Heath had 9 digs, and Lilly Hazelwood had 3 kills. Lilly Byers had 7 assists and 2 aces for the Cougars.

On April 7, the JV Cougars defeated Bassett in both matches of a doubleheader. They won the first game in two sets.

Kaylee Towler led the offense with 7 kills, while Marissa Bentley had 4. Lilly Byers had 16 assists, 5 digs, and 3 aces. Bryley Pike had 16 digs, and Madi Heath had 6 aces and 5 digs. In the second game the Cougars took another win in two sets. Lilly Hazelwood had 2 blocks. Bryley Pike led the team in digs with 9, while Kaylee Towler had 7 digs, and Marissa Bentley added 5. Lilly Byers had 16 assists and 7 digs.

Patrick County finished the season strong, defeating Halifax on the road in three sets on April 8.

Kaylee Towler had 4 kills, 9 digs, and 5 aces. Marissa Bentley and Madi Heath had 4 kills, while Heath added 5 digs as well. Lilly Byers had 13 assists on the night. The JV Cougars finished their season with a 5-4 record.
