Woolwine Elementary School’s 2021 recipient of the Colonel Abram Penn Chapter NSDAR Good Citizenship Award is Mitchell Avery Keith.

Showing qualities of leadership, trustworthiness, service, and patriotism, Mitchell is a worthy recipient of this award.

During the promotion celebration on May 19, he also received the Principal’s Award for having all A averages and the Gold President’s Education Award.

Mitchell is a member of Jr. Beta, and he plays the saxophone in the band. He was the winner of the 2019 County Spelling Bee and the winner of the 2019 Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest.

Mitchell’s hobbies include swimming, playing video games, and watching YouTube. He also enjoys lifting weights, sword sparring, and spending time with his gecko and his cat. At the present time, Mitchell would like to attend Virginia Tech and become an architect.

Mitchell is a member of Meadows of Dan Baptist Church. He lives in Bassett with his parents, Kevin and Tabitha Keith, and his sister and brother.
