Kenneth “Ted” Durham, age 75, of Stuart, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Jacksonville, Fla., on December 10, 1940, and was a son of the late Gaston Vernon Durham and Connie Jennings Durham. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Tyrone Durham and Max Durham; and a sister, Ruth Ingram.
He was retired from Spencer’s.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Helen Thompson Durham of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tammy Durham of Stuart; four daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Robert Overman of Greensboro, N.C., Gail Morris of Greensboro, Sharon and Timmy Johnson of McLeansville, N.C., and Karen Odell of Browns Summit, N.C.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Bost, Polly Houghton and Linda Faye Getz, all of Florida.
A memorial service was held at New Beginnings Baptist Church on Saturday with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Burial was private.
