obit durham, tedKenneth “Ted” Durham, age 75, of Stuart, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Jacksonville, Fla., on December 10, 1940, and was a son of the late Gaston Vernon Durham and Connie Jennings Durham. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Tyrone Durham and Max Durham; and a sister, Ruth Ingram.
He was retired from Spencer’s.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Helen Thompson Durham of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tammy Durham of Stuart; four daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Robert Overman of Greensboro, N.C., Gail Morris of Greensboro, Sharon and Timmy Johnson of McLeansville, N.C., and Karen Odell of Browns Summit, N.C.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Bost, Polly Houghton and Linda Faye Getz, all of Florida.
A memorial service was held at New Beginnings Baptist Church on Saturday with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Burial was private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Patrick County Chapter, P.O. Box 1301, Stuart, Va. 24171.
