Kimberly Marie Boyd passed away November 24, 2022, in Edgewater, FL, where she resided. She was born March 26, 1965, in Richmond, VA

Kimberly was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Faye Banks Boyd and is survived by her father Sheldon Boyd (Wanda) of FL, sisters Leslie Jones (Jonathan) of MO, Cori Spain of VA, Angel Papa (Tom) of CA, brothers Brice Cassell of VA and Charles Withington III of FL, nieces Mattie Cockram of MO, Alexis Spain of VA and nephew Seth Cockram of MO, along with her numerous aunts, uncles and cousins of VA and FL, and her most beloved lifelong friend Rommel Scalf of FL.

Kimberly proudly served her country as a Military Police in the US Army for four years. She then worked as a correctional facilities officer for 10 years at the Volusia County Correctional Facility in Daytona Beach, FL. She also served in the US National Guard as a Sergeant for 16 years. Kim’s pride in her country and her duty to serve brought her a fulfilling military career and countless friendships, both in the Army and in corrections.

Kim’s greatest joy was in her family, friends, and especially her animals. She was passionate about flowers and botany, photography, pottery, riding her Harley, and helping others, be it her fellow man or an animal in need. Kim was generous, kind, brave, beautiful, loving, and quick to laugh. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her love for her family and friends knew no bounds and she will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter in her honor.

Cremation will take place at the North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville, FL

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled to take place in Meadows of Dan, VA, in spring of 2023.
