Richard E. Kreh, Sr., of Stuart, recently received the Iron Butt Association’s National Parks Tour/Master Traveler award. This award goes out to a small number of motorcyclists from around the world that have managed to solve the challenge of time and distance.
Kreh has logged visiting a total of 51 parks within 25 states and two provinces while riding his 2018 BMW K1200GT. The journey consisted of approximately 15,000 miles that was completed in less than a year. Kreh completed this accomplishment at the age of 76 years old.
The object of the National Parks Tour is to visit the hundreds of National Parks, National Historic Sites, National Recreation Areas, and National Monuments located in the United States and Canada (National Parks and National Historic Sites in Canada.)
Riders must stop by the Visitor’s Center and obtain the “Passport to Your National Parks” stamp in their book.
