My husband and I would like to congratulate the Patrick County Health Department for the excellent job they did yesterday with the vaccination program at Rotary Field.
As we drove in, people on the curb welcomed us in hearty friendly voices and directed us inside where we found chairs and tables spaced out socially distanced.
As we went through the process, we were given “goody bags” with a mask, hand sanitizer and a plastic face shield and information about the virus and vaccine.
Everyone was friendly and informative and efficient and we were finished very quickly, even with the 15 minute wait period afterward. We saw that emergency management people were there with equipment in case of an adverse reaction to the vaccine.
Everything possible was thought of, in place and ready to go.
After seeing the horror stories on tv about long waits with endless lines, we are very grateful to have such an efficient Health Department. They deserve thanks from everyone in the county.
