The Lady Cougars hosted the Lady Eagles of GW Danville on Tuesday, February 2.
The Cougars scored early and often, taking a 58-8 win over the Eagles.
Sierra Hubbard led the Cougars with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal, and 2 assists.
Missy Hazard added 11, with nine being behind the three-point line. Hazard had 2 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists.
Samantha Harris added 7 for the Lady Cougars and had 6 rebounds and 1 steal.
“Good Team win for the Lady Cougars,” Coach Donny Rakes said. “Everyone on the team scored and contributed. Hats off to GW Danville. They are in a rebuilding year, but they battled hard and played with class. I appreciate the effort they displayed. We shared the ball well and played unselfishly.”
The Cougars are 2-1 on the season.
