The Patrick County High School Lady Cougar varsity volleyball team won in three sets Thursday night against George Washington of Danville.
The scores were 25-14, 25-13, 25-15.
Abby Hutchens had seven kills. Melanie Roberson had 16 assists and three aces while Sydney Kirk had seven assists and two aces. Shelby Bryant, Hanna Hylton and Sydney Biggs had four kills each.
The Lady Cougars played Monday against North Stokes. Tuesday, they traveled to Halifax and Thursday, they host Magna Vista at 7 p.m.
The team is now 6-1.
