Tuesday, they traveled to Martinsville to play the Lady Bulldogs. The set scores were 25-11, 25-11, and 25-16.

“This week was a great confidence boost for our team,” said Coach Heidi Moore. “The ladies grew as a team and competed even when being down,” she added. “The players are listening to ways to improve their skills and continue learning volleyball,” Moore explained.

“Next week (yesterday) we play Bassett at home, which is always a good matchup. We lost to them in the beginning of the season in four sets,” she said. “We will work on their tendencies the next few days and prepare for the game,” Moore said.

The Lady Cougars also play Franklin County Thursday. “We have not faced them yet this season, but they are always a great volleyball team,” Moore said.

Erin Keith takes the set and sends it over the net in last Monday’s game against GW of Danville.
