Landmark residents, guests, and staff celebrated February birthdays on February 17.
Vernon Harris and Shelly Roberts provided Southern Gospel music as everyone enjoyed cake, ice cream, and punch provided by Landmark Catering and the dietary staff. The birthday gifts were donated by Hill’s Grove Baptist Church.
Residents and guests were served cherry cobbler and ice cream Sunday afternoon, February 19.
On Friday, February 24, residents were treated to homemade French fries in observance of French Fry Friday. Many commented, “This brings back memories from the past of just how good French fries used to be!” The residents enjoyed one last February treat on February 27; strawberry ice cream floats. Just mix strawberry soda and vanilla ice cream; it is delicious.
Residents have traveled to a variety of locations on the bus trips. Tuesday, February 21, they ate lunch at the local Mexican restaurant and shopped in Stuart February 23. The destination was Bassett Forks on February 28 for lunch and shopping, and a ride up Floyd Mountain on March 2 to purchase delicious treats. With the early spring temperatures residents have enjoyed the beautiful scenery while on their trips.
