Representative Griffith publishes a column every week in The Enterprise, and I am still waiting for him to tell me what he has done to make my (and your) life better. I have had relatives say “I don’t care what they do as long as they don’t raise MY taxes” or “I don’t care what they do as long as it does not affect ME personally.” Guess what? His actions and votes do those things to you every day.
When he is pushing against birthright citizenship he is damaging our economy and our morality. When he votes to reduce food and medical care he is hurting all of us (to include those people who vote for him). He has no interest in his constituency except to create enough unfounded racial, social, and economic anxiety to get you to vote in fear of the “other” instead of demanding that he help the people he is supposed to represent. What is he doing and what has he done to help you with gas prices and grocery prices? What is he doing to preserve law and order, protect civil liberties, and control the unlawful and inhumane ICE practices? What is he doing to help you with medical bills? Housing? Education? Infrastructure?
Who is he talking to in these weekly columns? Apparently he sees himself on the national stage and not as the representative of the Ninth District of Virginia. We deserve better.
Tom George,
Meadows of Dan
