Dear Editor:
I wish to thank the Town of Stuart for the wonderful fireworks display on the evening of July 4, 2018. I and my family have been enjoying this event for many years, and sharing it upon occasion with other friends and family who may be visiting all that time. This year was beautiful as always, so generous and dramatic.
We have sometimes had family from far away and even overseas, saying they have never seen anything better, and were surprised at the quality of the display in a small community. We are blessed to have such an event in this area – with a good crowd, easy access, and inspiring us to remember the constant struggle for the liberty we enjoy: “The rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air….to preserve us a nation.” We are grateful for our fragile freedoms, and this chance to celebrate together. Thank you.
