Wanna know what I think? It’s about time. It is my pleasure to strongly recommend Mrs. Crystal Harris for the Patrick County Board of Supervisors, Smith River District.
I am Barbara Morrison, retired elementary school teacher. I worked with Crystal, who was the cafeteria manager, several years at Woolwine Elementary School. She was well organized and strict, but the mutual love and respect with the students and staff definitely made her stand out.
Crystal is a charter member of the Smith River Rescue Squad. She has been a dedicated, hard-working volunteer. I have seen her knowledge and concern when working with a patient.
She previously served four terms on the Board and did a great job. During that time, she was instrumental in many major accomplishments. She worked with the Patrick County Education Foundation helping many citizens further their education. She helped get the new STEP building in Patrick County. Her (with two others) greatest achievement was locating and receiving the old Stuart Hospital Brass Book after the hospital closed. Crystal took a break from the Board, but though inactive, she has still stayed informed about what was going on in Patrick.
Now Crystal is ready, willing, and highly qualified to return to the Board as the Smith River Representative! I am confident that all of her experience, knowledge, skills, love for God, her family, our people and county, besides her desire to do all that she can to help Patrick County, make her our choice.
Our vote for Crystal Harris on Nov. 3 is a vote for high qualifications, sincerity, and honesty. She is inquisitive and has a very positive attitude. She is unafraid to say what she thinks and believes and is ready to disagree when she sees that an action is wrong for her county. A vote for Crystal Harris is a vote for a representative who will listen to our concerns and do something about it!
Barbara Morrison,
Stuart
