Letters to the Editor: Republicans and Independents, your work is not done

If you voted in the 2024 Presidential election for Donald Trump, your work is not over. If you failed to vote in the gubernatorial election last November, shame on you! More Pro-Republican voters could have prevented the election results. That election was just as important as the Presidential election in making sure you and the majority of voters would get what you wanted when you voted for the President. The good news is that you can now redeem yourself by voting NO on the proposed amendment to the Virginia Constitution. What is at stake is just as important as who occupies the White House.

If passed, the redistricting amendment will determine whether the Democrats in Virginia get to redraw voting districts to almost guarantee they will win in 2026, 2028, 2030, and possibly beyond. Six Democratic House of Representatives members and five Republican members will in all likelihood be replaced by ten Democrats and one Republican. The Democrats will then control the House of Representatives. Hakeem Jeffries will most likely be the next Speaker of the House.

If passed, the amendment will enable the Democratic Marxist policies creating chaos. Democratic Hose members will conduct endless impeachment proceedings against the President, tying up time and resources rather than solving the many problems the nation faces. With the help of the Senate, they could even reverse the legislation that was passed in 2025.

If you dislike the constant bickering between the two major parties and you think that just voting is required, you are wrong. Yes, politics brings out the worst in human nature, but politics reflects reality. With the increasing speed of new technologies that threaten your ability to tell what is real or true, politics will affect you more every day. The changes will come at a faster rate. It will take more effort and time on your part to determine how and what you should do. Most importantly, remember that while Republicans like to take a breather between accomplishments, Marxists never rest. They constantly create chaos (it takes no talent or skill to do and it’s so much easier to do than to build or create).

Beyond voting NO for the amendment, put up signs, volunteer at committee meetings, write letters to the editor, drive neighbors to the polls, and have civil debates with members of the other parties. Your work is not over, especially come this November for the Congressional elections!
