Lewis Dale Largen, age 66, of Meadows of Dan, Virginia, passed away at his home on Monday, September 25, 2023. Lewis was born in Patrick County on February 11, 1957, to the late Lloyd Glenn Largen and Martha Ethelean McAlexander Largen. Lewis loved bluegrass music, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and traveling. The joy of his life was being Poppy Lou to his grandbabies.
Lewis is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Nancy Hall Largen; a daughter, Brittany Largen Turman and husband, Eric Richard Turman; four grandchildren, Katelyn Marie Cox and husband, Adam, Jacob Mackenzie Turman, Abigail Elise Turman, Addison Rose Turman; great-granddaughter, Savannah Marie Cox; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey Largen and wife, Therese Haugh, Carlton Largen and wife, Barbara; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Reed Island Springs Baptist Church and burial will follow at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vesta Rescue Squad P.O. Box 911, Meadows of Dan, VA 24120.
