The Patrick County Chamber of Commerce, Patrick Soil and Water Conservation District, Patrick County Sheriff’s Office, Dan River Basin Association, and Town of Stuart, are collaborating on the 12th annual ‘Pick-Up Patrick,’ presented by Patrick County Tourism.

The trash pick-up is a self-directed, community-wide, effort to encourage residents to pick-up litter near or around business, churches, organizations and homes to prepare for the large number of visitors during spring and summer.

Remember to:

Be responsible for your own trash and put it in the proper place.

Think about what you are doing.

Take pride in your surroundings. Help keep areas where you live and work clean.

Recycle whenever possible. Many agencies can help with those efforts.

Encourage others by involving family, friends, churches, businesses and civic clubs.

Take initiative. Don’t wait for someone else to do it.

Start now to clean up the environment.

Be safe, and use caution when working along roadways. Orange trash bags are available at the Chamber Office. The use of orange vests is encouraged.
