The investigation of a Friday crash is continuing after a Stuart man died.

The Virginia State Police said the two-vehicle crash occurred at 10:50 a.m., at the intersection of Virginia 58 and Virginia 8, in Patrick County.
Then, a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer was traveling south on Virginia 8. As it pulled across the westbound lanes of Virginia 58, the state police allege it pulled into the path of an oncoming, westbound 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The pickup truck was unable to avoid the Mitsubishi, which was struck in the driver’s side, according to a release from the state police.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, Amos B. Morrison, 87, of Stuart, was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. He died Friday afternoon, according to the state police. Morrison was wearing a seatbelt.
A 65-year-old Stuart man was operating the truck, according to the release. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
He also was wearing a seatbelt.
Sr. Trooper N.D. Knight II is continuing the investigation.
