Acorns were everywhere at the Stuart site of the Blue Ridge Library’s Story Time on November 15. Master Gardeners teamed up with the library to offer a class about the many types of acorns and the trees they can grow.
Children’s librarian Ms. Sam read “Acorn Was a Little Wild,” by Jen Arena. Master Gardeners then helped the children sort and identify the various types of acorns found in the area. Youngsters were encouraged to plant an acorn and watch it grow.
