obit-lewis-pictureMack George Lewis, 70, of Patrick Springs, died on Monday, November 14, 2016, at his home.
He was born January 21, 1946 in Patrick County and was a son of the late Forrest York and Troy Lee Lewis. He was preceded in death by one brother; Howard Lee Lewis. He was a Vietnam veteran and attended Mayo Christian Church. He worked as a boilermaker and welder until his retirement. Surviving are one daughter, Lorine Hubbard and husband Richard of Stuart; two sisters, Sylvia Rice of Rocky Mount and Joanne Barbour of Danville; two brothers, Jerry Lewis and Tony Lewis, both of Patrick Springs; one grandchild; Jami Ayers and husband Gary; one great-grandchild; Mason Ayers; one stepgrandchild, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 111 a.m. on Friday at Stella Christian Church with Pastor Steve Hayes, Pastor Curt Ashley and Milfred Hudson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Stella Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Virginia Veterans and Family Support c/o Cliff Roop, 22280 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Stuart, Va. 24171.
Arrangements are by Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory of Stuart. Online condolences may be made at www.norrisfuneral.com.
