A Patrick County man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 11:30 p.m. Feb. 28 on South County Line Road, according to a report from State Trooper Patrick Meade.
Dustin Wagner, 20, of Patrick Springs, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet that ran off the road to the left and struck a tree, Meade said.
Wagner had to be extricated from the car. He was taken to Blackberry Church and then airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for treatment.
Emergency units responding included the Patrick Henry Volunteer Fire Department, J.E.B. Stuart Rescue Squad, the Virginia State Police, the Henry County Public Safety office, and the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation, Meade said.
