Margaret Matilda Bowman Boyd, 82, of Ararat, died at her home Friday, November 25, 2016.
She was born in Patrick County on January 5, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Muncie Otis and Mildred Ola Montgomery Bowman.
She retired from Sealy Mattress Company and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her daughters, Heather Boyd of Ocoee, Fla., and Verna Gordon of Clermont, Fla.; one granddaughter; sisters, Rena Elizabeth Bowman and Evelyn Lucille Jarrell, both of Ridgeway; and brothers, James Elbert Bowman and Herbert Henry Bowman, both of Ararat.
Funeral services were held at Moody Funeral Home Chapel on Monday with the Rev. Dean Eaton officiating. Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery.
