Margaret Gerene Turner, age 71, of Silver Spring, Md., passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring.
She was born in Patrick County on August 24, 1945 to the late Harvey and Josephine Mills Turner. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Elzene Tatum and Mary Eloise Foddrell; and two brothers, Robert Lee Turner and Murray Alfonzo “Babe” Turner.
Surviving are one daughter, Margaret Genell Turner of Silver Spring; two sisters, Betty J. Vaughan of Adelphi, Md., and Brenda Williams of Tacoma Park, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Melton Roberson officiating. Burial was in the Hylton Thessalonia Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
