Maria Goad Webster, 71, of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, in the early morning hours of February 5, 2021. She was born in Stuart, Virginia on May 16, 1949. She was predeceased by her parents, William Burkes Goad and Madeline Beasley Goad, and her husband, James E. Webster. Maria is survived by a brother, William B. Goad II (Janis), nieces, Dr. Ashley Goad (Chris), Lee Ann Kelley (Tim), nephews Chris Michalec (Liz), David Dolinger (Jan) and Steven Dolinger (Angela), “adopted son”, Dejan Bozic (Kathryn) and “grandchildren” Anna and Alexander.  Maria is also survived by two special cousins Joan B Martin and Cheryl Penn, among many others.

Maria married the love of her life, Jim, on August 8, 1970. They met while in college and they were married nearly 47 years before he passed away on March 7, 2017. Maria & Jim were a true team, both personally and professionally. Together they created a successful advertising agency, and enjoyed travel and meeting new friends along the way.  Before retiring to Florida, they lived most of their years in Roanoke and Smith Mountain Lake, VA, where they had a “family” of devoted and cherished friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. If family and friends desire, donations may be made to the church or charity of their choice in memory of Maria.
