The Stuart Farmers’ Market is adjusting hours, according to a release from the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce.
The Market will be open on Tuesdays, June through September, from 3 to 6 p.m.
Vendors will be on hand with local goodies for shoppers to pick up on the way home.
With the addition of Tuesday hours, Friday hours were adjusted as well. The market will be open on Fridays now through September from 8 a.m. until noon.
Special events are scheduled on Friday markets.
On Friday, June 8: Celebrate the Mountains and Music Homecoming with musical guests Pete and Cindy with Friends. Shoppers also are invited to prepare to celebrate July 4th with a new United States of America flag by bringing their old ones to the market for proper disposal. Cub Scout Troop 69 will be on hand to collect used, worn out flags.
As always, fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, a great selection of baked items, meats, eggs and other goodies will be available at the market, as well as bedding plants and handmade crafts.
The Tuesday Market is on June 12, and on Friday, June 15, Bull Mountain Arts will have a spot at the market to provide information about the group.
A Tuesday Market will be held on June 19.
The Friday Market on June 22 will include a visit from Kids on the Move Campers. Youngsters will visit the market to learn about local and healthy eating, along with the weekly featured fresh local produce, baked items, meats, eggs, bedding plants, handmade crafts and other goodies.
The Tuesday Market on June 26 will start heating up for the Red, White and Blueberries Celebration on Friday, June 29, just in time to prepare for the July 4th celebration.
