Fans will once again have the opportunity to drive their personal cars around Martinsville Speedway while spreading Christmas cheer as the track will hold its 22nd annual Christmas Toy Drive on Saturday, December 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Any fan who brings a new, unwrapped toy or makes a $10 donation will be able to drive five laps around the historic half-mile oval. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Grace Network of Martinsville and Henry County.
The Grace Network of Martinsville and Henry County is a network of more than 200 area churches that help families in need throughout the year.
“There are many in our community that live in such financial disparity that they cannot see past the bills, eviction and cutoff notices and heartache that come with not being able to provide for their families, much less check off all the items on their children’s Christmas list,” Tracy Hinchcliff, executive director of the Grace Network said. Your generous gifts to the toy drive will not only bring a smile to a child’s face, it will bring hope to a family in need.”
In addition to driving their personal cars around the track, fans who pay $50 can ride with Campbell in a two-seater NASCAR race car for five laps.
