Mrs. Mary Marshall Shook, age 91 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on April 6, 1932, to the late Edward Marshall and Clara Cockram Marshall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Shook; one son, Roger Dale Shook; two sisters, Beulah Handy, Ina Rakes; and one brother, Willie Marshall. Mrs. Shook was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church. She was a giving and loving person who loved spending time with her family, who were her pride and joy.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Victoria Campbell and husband, Rodney of Roanoke, Roger Dale “R.D.” Shook, Jr. and wife, Kelly of Roanoke; two great grandchildren, Justin Shook, Donovan Johnson; one great great grandchild, Ella Shook; one sister, Katherine Boyd of Stuart; and five nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
