obit Scott, MaryMary Ellen Williams Scott, age 80, of Woolwine, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at her home.
She was born in Patrick County on December 26, 1935, and was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Emma Nell Jones Williams. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Billy Lee Williams, Johnnie Williams, Jessie W. Williams and Wade Williams.
She was a member of Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church and had retired from Bassett-Walker Industries.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Lee Scott of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer Scott of Meadows of Dan and Rose and John Wood of Stuart; five sons and a daughter-in-law, Lemuel Scott of Woolwine, Everett Scott of Stuart, Walter and Derina Scott of Stuart, George Scott of Bassett and Travis Scott of Woolwine; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Annette Williams of Claudville, Daisy Hylton of Woolwine, Jeanette Scott of Stuart; Joan Roop of Critz and Rachel Reynolds of Stuart; three brothers, Jimmy Williams of Ferrum and Danny Williams and Sammy Williams, both of Stuart; and three special sisters-in-law, Agnes, Linda and Judy Williams.
Funeral services were held Friday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Jeff Rhea officiating. Burial was in the Williams family cemetery.
