The Patrick County Middle School softball team ended its season last week in the Junior Piedmont Championship game at Halifax, losing 12-0.
The team defeated Franklin County 13-0 in the semifinal game earlier.
Katherine Beckett won the game on the mound pitching all six innings. McKenzie Belcher, Kansas Cutchens, Danielle King, Gracelyn Hubbard and Bridgette Vipperman had multiple hits in the game.
Elleigh Large and Jordan Haas each had RBIs on the day.
The MS Lady Cougars finished with a 10-4 season record with three losses against undefeated Halifax.
“They had a great season making it to the championship round in just their second season,” said Coach Ryan Pendleton.
