The Patrick County middle school wrestling program hosted a quad match last Thursday and came out with two wins and one loss. The Cougars beat George Washington of Danville 28-3; Martinsville, 30-6; and lost to Franklin County, 18-12.

Trent Alexander was 3-1 on the night; his loss was the only one this season. Pablo Gutierrez also went 3-1. Morgan Horton went 1-0, and Walter Boyd was 0-1. Tristan Handy went 1-2 and Josh Wright was 3-0. Aidan LaComa was 4-0; he did lose one exhibition match where he wrestled an opponent who weighed 228 lbs. to Aidan’s 174 lbs.—the match did not count in team scoring.

The quickest pin of the night came from Aidan LaComa who picked up a nine-second pin.
