Here is it 2017 and a lot of changes are probably coming. We all need to pray as never before.
It was so good to start the new year off by attending church on Christmas Day and then again on New Year’s Day. I ate lunch with the Martin family at Charles and Gloria Biggs’ home with the traditional foods for new year’s, plus more.
I’m sorry to hear that Beverly Woody has been fighting pneumonia for some time now, but the good news is she is getting better.
It was so good to see James and Regina Shough at church on New Year’s Day. Regina looked so pretty.
“Miss Claudine” Wood on the mountain is enjoying all her cards, company coming and telephone calls. Just keep them coming.
Guess some of us need to get serious about healthy eating now or go on a fast or Bod 4 God.
Prayer time at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church was very powerful. If you weren’t there, you surely did miss a blessing.
Love and prayers to my friends and neighbors, Steve and Connie Greer. Love you!
Neighbor Teresa Martin and I went down to see Lester Harris and spent some time with him. Teresa gave him a neat hair and beard trim. He looked 10 years younger.
“Soup’s on” again at the Patrick Springs Soup Kitchen. It was good to see my people after the holiday break. When I went by Vera Plasters’ she had me a card and a gift certificate to Elizabeth’s. Thank you! We also had some more fun with her talking snowman. She does so well at 101 years old.
I’m sending prayers for Leonard and Arlene Trent, Thelma Cassell, Teresa Martin, Sam Handy, Lester Harris’ friend Roger V., my friend Linda Roberts and our friend Papa Ronnie. Put them on your prayers list.
Tips for tossed salads: wash greens, drain and dry well before storing. Tear greens instead of cutting to avoid bruising with a knife. Remove the waxy outer skin of cucumbers before cutting.
